Try again, with confidence!

So you didn’t get the job? You walked into an interview, not feeling entirely qualified for the position, and it showed. You had a presentation, and you didn’t feel like the most informed person in the room. Instead of remembering your notes, all you could think about was the people in the room, and your brain turned to mush. Just writing this made me cringe because I’ve been there... MORE THAN ONCE. In each instance it wasn’t being unqualified that failed me, It wasn’t because the people around me were more informed, it was much later in life that I learned it was my confidence that failed me each time.

When I decided I wanted more out of life, I spent time around people that were in positions that I wanted. You have a job I like? Let me study how you got there. I love the way he or she can speak in front of any crowd! Let me pick their brains. It was in studying people in positions that I wanted to be in that I learned it was confidence that got them there. And this confidence did not come overnight! It took practice; it took studying and took going into some uncomfortable situations and coming out victorious.

If you’re getting ready to head into a situation and you’re nervous, it will show. Walk-in there with your best foot forward, be confident that whatever it is is yours! Take on the mentality that if its for me, then it’s mine. Always, do your research and give your all to a project knowing that your best is always good enough if the timing is right. And if there is something on your heart that you haven’t been able to attain and you’re afraid to jump back in, I urge you today to try again, with confidence!

We here at the Confdnt blog would love to hear and share your stories of confidence. So please feel free to leave a comment, or drop your story in our contacts. Someone may be waiting to hear your story to push them out of there box and into confidence.

Choosing you!

Making choices is one of the most constant parts of life. Some might argue that babies and definitely toddlers are even making decisions...
